Before i end my day off, I would like to blog about something that happened today.
In the afternoon, Choon Peng and I had plans for the day. He wanted to have a hair cut and I was planning to get my Bestiee’s birthday gift, as she is turning 21 this coming Wednesday!!!
I couldn’t decide on what to get for her, so I asked her to choose for herself a gift that she will like, and I’ll add on the rest that I think which suits her. And she chose, Ettusais’s blusher. Wise choice!! As I could get it from Tampines and Choon Peng could get his hair cut, plus we could catch a weekend movie!!
In the evening, we reached Tampines mall and got our tickets. He went for his hair cut and I went browsing for the gift. I couldn’t make up my mind on the colour of the blusher, so I phoned her. And she said she will call me back to let me know.
While I was waiting for her call, Choon Peng returned with his new hair cut and said he was hungry (as usual). As we walked out of Isetan, we saw this Hokkaido Fair, selling expensive stuffs but some were delicious. We bought 2 croquettes, a potato and a pumpkin. It’s delectable~
I saw the Melon selling at $80++ and I tried their a sample of it, however, it tasted different from the one I tried in Hokkaido.
Not long after, she called me and said she would prefer a foundation instead. So I went back to the counter for the foundation. The sales girl told me that I could get free blusher in a bag, if I spent above $88!! It’s easy to hit this. Really. I just need to get another skin care product and it will sum up to $88.
I ended up getting the foundation as well as some other skin care products for her.
I felt contented and happy as I placed the bag (rather big) of gift gently in front of my seat when I was watching Red Cliff (Nice show. I love this type of show). When the show ended, I took the bag and handed to Choon Peng. He went to the loo and came out with it.
Then, we walked to the bus stop and we waited for the bus. While waiting for the bus, I was busy tying my scorpion hair style. I had been practising this for quite some time and I’ve yet master it. Such failure. Never mind about that, the bus came and we hurriedly board the bus. It was very packed and we could hardly move an inch. Luckily the ride wasn’t long, only a little bumpy.
We alighted at the Sengkang Expressway Bus stop.
Suddenly, Choon Peng gave a stunned look. Before he speaks, his actions gave it all. I looked at his hands and they were holding on to NOTHING!!! I was shocked.
“Where is the Isetan bag??”
“Urh… (continue to look stun)”
“Toilet? Bus? Bus Stop?”
“Bus Stop…”
“…”
We crossed the road and took a cab back to the stop where we board ( in front of national library).
IT WASN’T THERE!!! We walked around in the neighbourhood area, the interchange, and back to the bus stop, hoping to see someone carrying an Isetan bag.
sigh~
When we returned to the bus stop, I was very sure that I lost it forever.
At that moment, I really feel like tearing. Althought $88 may not seem to be worth as much as it was (before inflation steps in). But to me it’s A LOT!!! It’s about One and a half day of my Salary!!! But deep down inside I feel like laughing out loud. It’s the first time ever, I lost something new so fast.
All thanks to Choon Peng~! (Just kidding)
Sorry Bestieee, I’ll go get your present again.
